Roger Blackwell is a Professor of Marketing at Ohio State University. He is also President of Blackwell Associates, Inc., a consulting firm through which he has worked with many of America’s largest and most successful companies. He has also appeared as an expert witness before the FTC and various legal proceedings.

Roger Blackwell was named “Outstanding Marketing Educator in America” by the Sales and Marketing Executives International and “Marketer of the Year” by the American Marketing Association. He has also received the “Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award”, the highest award given by Ohio State. Having lectured around the world, he is often quoted in such publications as Business Week, USA Today, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal and has appeared on numerous television news programs including CBS This Morning.

Roger Blackwell is considered one of the founding fathers of Consumer Behavior as co-author of one of the leading books in this field entitled , Consumer Behavior. It is used by business schools throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. He has also writen 21 other books on marketing strategy and research. His most recent publication is entitled , Global Marketing Perspectives and Cases, a global marketing textbook designed to look at not only the theoretical but practical sides of global business. Dr. Blackwell is also author of From the Edge of the World (1994-Ohio State Press). His latest book, From Mind to Market, will be released by Harper Business Publisher, New York in 1997.

Roger has also produced the CD-ROM and CD-i programs, How to Grow Profits and How to Compete in the Global Marketplace which revolve around his presentations of the same titles. These interactive educational programs are gaining popularity as corporations seek new , inovative ways to educate and train employees. He and his wife, Tina, own and operate Interact Communique, a CD-ROM and CD-i publishing firm for which they write and produce commercial titles and work with companies to design tailored programs for internal use.

Dr. Blackwell received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Missouri and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University. He received an honorary doctorate degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He resides in Ohio with his wife and serves on numerous boards of both privately and publicly held corporations including Checkpoint Systems, Max & Ermas and Intimate Brands. Roger enjoys jogging and listening to music in his free time.
